TOPANGA CANYON—Los Angeles Police Department are searching for a 26-year old Gerry Zaragoza for conducting a double homicide shooting that occurred Thursday, July 25 in Canoga Park. The man is also suspected in another double shooting in North Hollywood on Thursday.

Zaragoza is wanted by the LAPD after having killed his father and brother and wounding his mother on Thursday morning inside their Canoga Park apartment on 21000 block of Roscoe Boulevard. The mother, who was shot in the arm by Zaragoza, was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained.

He is suspected in a double shooting in North Hollywood that occurred 45 minutes later. Police say he fled the apartment after the shootings at his home and is believed to have conducted a second round of killings in North Hollywood.

A woman working at a gas station on the 6700 block of Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood was shot and killed Thursday morning. Another man, also a gas station employee, was also shot, and is now listed in critical condition in a local hospital.

The LAPD tweeted out that no one is to approach the suspect as he is considered armed and dangerous. Zaragoza was last seen in a newer model dark blue, possibly Jeep-style, the vehicle appears to have paper plates. The investigation is being led by LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division. If anyone spots Zaragoza they are asked to contact 911 immediately.
