BEVERLY HILLS—It’s that time of year again: AWARDS SEASON! This week kicked off the nominations for the Grammys and Screen Actors Guild Awards, but on Thursday, December 10 the precursor to Oscar, the Golden Globe nominees were announced.

Wednesday we were treated to the SAG Award nominations which were full of surprises, let’s just say the Globes were just as interesting in both the film and television arena.

Leading the pack of all nominees was the movie “Carol” with a total of 5 nominations. Competing in the race of Best Motion Picture – Drama include “Carol,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Revenant,” “Room” and “Spotlight.” Interesting to see “Mad Max: Fury Road” nabbing nominations in the Best Picture and Best Director race and is looking to become a very strong contender in the Oscar race.

Dare I say it, Charlize Theron for a Best Actress nomination? On the TV side of things it was a mix boat of series leading the race including “American Crime,” “Mr. Robot,” “Fargo,” “Transparent” and “Outlander.” A list of 2016 nominees for the Golden Globe Awards are listed below:
