HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that country singer Carrie Underwood, 35, will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, September 20 at 11:30 a.m.

Underwood rose to fame after she won the fourth season of the reality-competition series “American Idol” in 2005. Her first debut album “Some Hearts,” was released later that year. The singer has released four additional albums and is planning to release her upcoming album “Cry Pretty,” on Friday, September 14.

Underwood is set to kick off her “Cry Pretty” tour in May 2019, after she recovers from giving birth to her second child.
