MALIBU—On Monday, June 2, singer Chris Brown was released from a Los Angeles County Jail. The singer posted to his Twitter page, that he was feeling “Humbled and Blessed” and was ready to get “Back to the Music and the Fans.”

On March 14, Brown was taken into custody by authorities for violating the terms of his probation while in rehab. The young singer initially received his sentence for his assault on then-girlfriend, Rihanna. Following a hearing set on April 23, Brown was expected to begin serving his time in jail on May 9.

The young singer has been in-and-out of confrontations since the 2009 incident; the last altercation Brown was involved in occurred in October 2013 in Washington, D.C. Brown was taking a photo with a female fan when two young men thought it would be funny to interrupt the photo. Brown and his body guard reacted negatively towards the young men resulting in Brown’s placement in a local jail for 36 hours before being ordered to report to his probation officer in Los Angeles within 48 hours of his release.

According to E! News, L.A. Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced the singer to serve his stint in jail for 131 days, but Brown was released after only serving 25 days in jail before his release early Monday morning. Before his release, E! News explained that Brown’s “probation [was] extended until January 23, 2015” with a court date scheduled for August 13, 2014 to check on his progress.

TMZ revealed that since his release, Chris Brown would be expected “to attend therapy sessions with a shrink 2 times a week… and he must submit to random drug testing 3 times a week.”  He is also expected to serve more than 1,000 hours of community labor as apart of his sentence.
