MALIBU—Former NBA Rookie of the Year and five-time NBA all-star Mayce Edward Christopher Webber III, commonly known as Chris Webber, recently sold his Big Rock, Malibu home at more than a quarter-million dollar loss.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the former-NBA-player-turned-basketball-analyst bought the home, located at 20851 Big Rock Drive, in 2007 for $3.995 million. He just sold it for $3.485 million.

Webber initially listed the home in February with an asking price of $3.99 million. Growing impatient after a few months without a sale, he slashed that price to $3.65 million, and eventually relented to let it go at the aforementioned price.

Webber netted nearly $180 million during his 15 seasons playing professional basketball.

The contemporary three-bedroom, three-bathroom property, one of six Webber owns in Los Angeles, has 2,910 square feet of living space sitting on a 0.65-acre lot. It was built in 1995.

Interiors amenities include oversized, floor-to-ceiling windows, an open floor plan, Maple wood flooring, a private office and stone counters.

The backyard, offers sweeping ocean views, a sleek pool with a spa, a barbecue area and a lush garden, which provides privacy.

Webber was the number one pick in the 1993 NBA draft. He played for six teams throughout his career. Before that, he was a key member of the legendary “Fab Five,” which was the nickname for the 1991 University of Michigan men’s basketball team recruiting class. Many considered them to be the greatest class ever recruited.
