WEST HOLLYWOOD—This August, the city of West Hollywood is presenting two free movies to the public on August 6 and August 17. West Hollywood is working in conjunction with Plummer Park’s National Night Out Event which aims to improve the West Hollywood community between neighbors and law enforcement.

The screening on August 6 will be for “The Lego Movie 2” which will begin at dusk at Plummer Park on the Vista Lawn. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with movie trivia and arts & crafts set to begin at 6 p.m.

On August 17, “How to Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World” will screen at the West Hollywood Aquatic Center. The event will begin at 6:45 p.m. with a social hour, refreshments and recreational swim. This screening will also begin at dusk.

A picnic is encouraged during the event, but refreshments will be available for purchase. For more details, contact the city of West Hollywood’s Recreation Division at (323) 848-6534 or check out their website at www.weho.org.

The Lego Movie 2:  Emmet, an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules, is mistakenly identified as the Special — an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant’s plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet, he is hopelessly — and hilariously — unprepared for such a task, but he’ll give it his all nonetheless.

How to Train Your Dragon 3: The Final installment in the How to Train your Dragon film trilogy written and directed by Dean DeBlois. The film’s plot follows Hiccup seeking a dragon Utopia called “The Hidden World” while coming to terms with Toothless’ new bond with female Light Fury.
