WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Sunday, January 23, approximately 57 properties will experience power outages. Southern California Edison has scheduled two outages in order to address deteriorating power poles in the affected neighborhoods.

The first outage will affect six customers in the area and will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 8500 block of West Knoll Drive and the 8500 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. The second location affected by the planned outage will be the 8200 block of Norton Avenue, 1100 block of Harper Avenue, 8200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and the 8200 block of Sunset Boulevard. The outage will last from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. This outage will affect 51 customers. According to the press release, all customers have been notified of the anticipated maintenance.

SCE’s contractor Henkels & McCoy, who will be working on the damaged poles, will be parked on private property and utilizing a bucket truck. No road closures will be necessary.
