HOLLYWOOD—Well, third time is a charm. It certainly looks like Pixar has a major hit on its hands with “Coco” which ruled the box-office for the third consecutive weekend. The animated flick took in just over $18 million to remain on top. The flick has since amounted over $135 million at the domestic box-office.

Feeling a bit of déjà vu, don’t because “Justice League” while not the box-office titan that Warner Bros. expected remained in second place adding another $9.6 million to its tally to bring its domestic tally to just over $212 million. At least the film is doing much better globally, to the tune of over $400 million. So while not a hit in the states, “Justice League” may have mustered up enough revenue to warrant a sequel in the near future.

Landing in third place was the drama “Wonder” with $8.5 million, and while many are overlooking this flick as an awards contender, they should be because the public loves it. The Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay starrer has since earned over $100 million domestically. James Franco is earning rave kudos for his performance in “The Disaster Artist” which debuted in fourth place with a little over $6 million. Rounding out the top five was “Thor: Ragnarok” which has now crossed the $300 million mark at the domestic box-office.

The wait is finally over people, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” arrives on Friday, December 15, and the question everyone wants to know is if it will break box-office records. I’m sure it will; the question is rather it can outperform its predecessor. Time will indeed tell!
