BEVERLY HILLS—On Thursday, November 6, police and firefighters rushed to the 400 block of South Rexford Drive where they discovered a man in the elevator shaft on the ground level of a three-story apartment building.
The victim has been identified as Frank Barille, 31, of San Bernardino. Barille, employed as an elevator technician by Amtech Elevator Services, appears to have died in an industrial accident involving the building’s elevator.
The Coroner’s Assistant Chief has stated that Barille was pronounced dead at the scene.
