SANTA MONICA—Officials from the Santa Monica Police Department are searching for a couple who was caught on camera breaking into the storage lot of a Santa Monica car dealership on Sunday, February 24.  The couple managed to steal two high-end cars valued at $150,000.

Surveillance footage depicts a man jumping a fence surrounding the dealership with a female accomplice. The couple had been there days earlier to test drive a vehicle similar to the one they had stolen indicated Major Motors Vice President of Sales Jason Yorker to KTLA News. He added the suspect noted he was from Colorado and recently signed a record deal and was looking to purchase an expensive car.

The vehicle stolen was test driven by the suspects earlier in the week. The suspect was last seen wearing a light-gray hoodie, and has black and red hair with olive skin.

Major Motors is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who has information that could lead to arrest and conviction of the two suspects. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department at 877-527-3247
