UNITED STATES—President Donald Trump addressed conservatives and political leaders across the nation, vowing to withhold federal funding to universities who do not support free speech, at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday, March 2 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

Hayden William’s injuries after being “punched.”

Fox News offered a live account of the conference with Trump taking time to identify those who have supported him, calling student activist, Hayden Williams to the stand. Williams was still sporting a black eye for speaking out in support of Trump at UC Berkeley on February 19.

Williams, who was recruiting for Turning Point USA on the UC Berkeley campus, was not a member of Turning Point, which provides training for conservative groups.

Williams took the stand and spoke briefly of what the young conservative students endure for standing up for their beliefs. Williams stated that he was glad to stand up for the President and said, “you keep standing up for us and we will keep standing up for you.”

President Trump promised to sign an executive order that requires universities to support free speech or forfeit federal funding.

Hayden Williams was attacked at UC Berkeley because of his conservative views and support of the Trump Administration.

“We reject oppressive speech codes, censorship, political correctness and every other attempt by the hard left to stop people from challenging ridiculous and dangerous ideas. These ideas are dangerous,” said Trump. He added “instead we believe in free speech, including online, and including on campus.”

President Trump addressed other issues including the Green Deal, Comey, immigration, Born-Alive Bill, the Syrian soldiers while listing the accomplishments made in the two years of his Presidency highlighting; growth in the economy, more jobs, the decrease in tariffs on trade with China, and more.

Joking about, The New Green Deal, Trump said, “No planes, no electricity, no cars, and when the wind stops blowing, that’s the end of your electricity. Did the wind stop blowing Darling? I’d like to watch the end of that.”

Covering the firing of seventh Director of Federal Bureau of Investigations, James Comey, President Trump said that no one defended Comey until after he was fired noting the Democrats said, “How dare he fire him.”

Speaking of immigration and for people to be permitted into our country by their own merit.  “Right now, we have members of Congress that hate our country,” said Trump.

President Trump spoke at length about the law the Born-Alive Abortion Protections Act that was recently voted down by Congress 53-44.  All Republicans and three Democrats voted in favor of the protection of the unborn born alive during an abortion. President Trump called the laws the most “radical” he has ever heard of.

He chastised the Governor of Virginia who proposed a bill for babies born by natural means to be made comfortable until parents chose if they would indeed keep the baby or if the baby would be executed.
