SANTA MONICA—The Crossroads School of Arts & Science will act as the site of an upcoming GoPro and Adobe event. The Los Angeles Post Production Group (LAPPG) will host GoPro and Adobe at the Crossroads School on Wednesday, November 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

LAPPG is an organization for digital filmmakers with interests in post production and film finishing. The group, which offers free membership and does not require Los Angeles residency, meets once a month at the Crossroads School to “provide a forum to share knowledge, build community, explore technologies and techniques and encourage post production professionals to connect and expand their networks.”

GoPro’s presentation, Editing Opportunities with GoPro, will explore the company’s “exciting new opportunities for content creators and video editors which includes getting paid for your best GoPro content through two of GoPro’s latest and most exciting programs: GoPro Awards and Content Licensing” stated the event’s organizers. Speakers for GoPro include Devon Vandervot, Sr. Program Manager for Content Acquisitions, John-Paul Harrison, Senior Manager of Content Licensing, and Claire Podgorski of GoPro’s Creator Marketing team. GoPro’s freelance editor community will also be discussed during the presentation.

Adobe’s presentation, Adobe Creative Cloud: Immerse Yourself in Creativity, will feature Adobe Premier Product Manager Al Mooney demonstrating the latest innovations of the Adobe Creative Cloud product. These include “high performance for editing and motion graphics, easy-to-use color and audio tools, and support for the latest formats all in a single integrated workflow.”

Admission is $5 at the door and includes one ticket for a prize giveaway. Additional tickets for the prize giveaway may be purchased at the event. Admission tickets must be bought 1-hour before the event begins. Both companies guarantee opportunities for networking after the close of their presentations.
