NORTH HOLLYWOOD—Disney star Cameron Boyce, 20 died in his sleep after experiencing a seizure from an ongoing medical condition Saturday, July 6 at his home in North Hollywood.  The death was confirmed by a family member.

According to authorities, Boyce was found unresponsive by his roommate and pronounced dead at the scene 2:35 p.m.

Public Information Officer, Sarah Ardalani of the Los Angeles County Department Medical Examiner, announced autopsy results in a press release Monday, July 8 stating, “The cause and manner of death for the deceased was deferred for additional testing and will be determined at a later date.”

The press released also noted the death occurred under natural circumstances.

“The Walt Disney Show mourns the loss of #CameronBoyce, who was a friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent, heart and life, and far too young to die. Our prayers go out to his family and his friends,” said Bob Iger, chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company shared confirming the news via twitter.

Fans, friends, and co-stars expressed their condolences through social media platforms using the tag #CameronBoyce.

The actor and dancer is best known for his appearance on several Disney Channel shows including the 2015 movie “Descendants,” the series “Bunk’d” and the spinoff “Jessie” (2011-2015).

Boyce’s film debuted at the age of nine was in the 2008 horror movie “Mirrors directed by Alexandre Aja. In 2010, he starred in the comedy “Grown Ups” directed by Dennis Dugan playing the son of Adam Sandler.

Boyce is slated to appear in the upcoming “Descendants 3” and was working on the series “Mrs. Fletcher.”
