WEST HOLLYWOOD—The search is on for four suspects who left 45-year-old Kirk Doffing clinging for his life following a beating in West Hollywood.

Doffing, who remains in a medically induced coma at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, was attacked on May 24 at approximately 9 p.m. near the intersection of San Vicente and Santa Monica Boulevard.

Doffing was reportedly approached from behind by the four individuals, including one suspect in a trench coat who struck him three-to-four times before he crashed to the pavement and hit his head.

All four suspects have been described as men in their 20s dressed in black.

“If you saw these four guys dressed in black on a Sunday holiday weekend walking down the streets of West Hollywood, that’s not normal, so anything, any recollection you have, that’s what we’re looking,” Doffing’s sister Jackie Aegis Infer said in an interview with CBS2.

Law enforcement is currently working with a sketch artist to draft a composite profile of the suspects.
