SHERMAN OAKS—Authorities placed an individual into confinement after the suspect led them on a 30-minute chase in a white pickup truck. The incident occurred during the morning hours on Monday, July 1 in the San Fernando Valley.

Authorities started pursing the suspect, who was in a stolen vehicle after 10 am. Surveillance was captured from multiple news stations showing the pursuit in action. 

The male suspect dashed through streets in residentiary areas throughout Van Nuys and Sherman Oaks.

At approximately 10:26 am the suspect came to a stop on Kingswood Lane and Woodcliff Road, showed by AIR7. He sat in his car moments before multiple police officers approached the destination. He held his arms up with a cellphone in one hand and was apprehended after he dropped to ground around 10:30 a.m.

During the chase, the driver almost caused several accidents in the Sherman Oaks area  and nearly hit a pedestrian close to a crosswalk.

The name of the suspect has not been disclosed to the public.
