WESTWOOD—Several Greater Los Angeles cities experienced an earthquake on Sunday, June 1 around 7:36 p.m.

According to the U.S. Geological Services website, the earthquakes’ epicenter occurred closest to the city of Westwood, which was about 4 miles away. The hypocenter depth of the earthquake was 3 miles.

The cities that were closest were Beverly Hills and Santa Monica which were 5 miles away. Sunday evening’s earthquake was recorded of having a magnitude of 4.2, according to the Southern California Earthquake Data Center.
