MALIBU—A 77-year-old man was assaulted after two men broke into his home located at the 20700 block of Pacific Coast Highway on June 19.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a call about a robbery at approximately 10:50 p.m.

One robber ransacked the apartment, while the other detained the victim in the room.

The suspects that invaded the home stole some personal property. Authorities have described them as two African-American males. They  were seen fleeing the scene in an unknown vehicle before the police could arrive.

The victim suffered stab wounds. It was unclear if he was stabbed by the suspects or just hit with a sharp object. He was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The injuries he sustained were non life-threatening.
