MALIBU —On March 15, a 73-year-old woman was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

The sheriff’s department reports that the accident occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Winding Way. The victim, identified as Amelia Ordona, was reportedly struck by a vehicle, sent onto the other side of the roadway and then hit by other vehicles, some of which continued moving, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills station. The owner of the vehicle who struck Ordona was questioned by police; however, there have been no known arrests as of press time.

During the investigation of the accident scene, the PCH was shut down for six hours between Kana Dume Road and Malibu Canyon Road, and later reopened at about 12 p.m.
