WEST HOLLYWOOD—Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and firefighters were called to evacuate residents of an apartment building in West Hollywood that caught fire on Thursday, August 16.

Firefighters arrived on the 1200 block of North Clark Street, near Sunset Boulevard, at 8:24 p.m. to extinguish the flames, the Los Angeles County Fire Department media relations confirmed with Canyon News.

A sheriff’s deputy had to enter the burning building to carry out a resident to safety. A Twitter post made by the LA County Sheriff’s Department stated that no injuries were reported during the blaze.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by 8:48 p.m. The apartment complex sustained serious damage, completely burning two units of the building.
