SAN FRANCISCO—Three-time World Series winner and San Francisco Giants Manager Bruce Bochy is planning to retire after finishing this season, according to a recent Twitter post.

“Ever since I moved to San Francisco in 2007, the city and our awesome fans have embraced me,” said Bochy on Twitter. “I’m going to miss it, but I’m grateful for the last 12 years and am looking forward to finishing strong this season.”

After starting his Giants legacy in 2007, Bochy managed three championship teams, triumphing over the Rangers, Tigers and Royals for in the past five years. Bochy will lead the Giants for one more year, coming off a 73-89 season. His final season will be his 25th season in the Major League Baseball organization.

For a good send off, Brochy will need his top players to perform including catcher Buster Posey. Posey is coming off a struggling season, netting only 41 RBIs and blasting a lowly five home runs in 105 total games.

Bochy’s career with the Giants already make him a probable hall of famer, and there is still one season left to add to his accolades.
