GRIFFITH PARK—The Annual Free Shakespeare Festival will return on June 29 at 7 p.m. at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park. “Twelfth Night” will debut first for 16 days and then “Pericles” will also be performed. The plays start at 7 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. from Wednesdays thru Sundays.

There are no reservations for performances, but donations of $150 are rewarded with four reserved seats of a performance of choice.

Children are welcome, but each play is the original version which has not been edited for content.There will be concession tents with hot and cold beverages and snacks, but outside food and beverages are allowed. Alcohol is prohibited in Los Angeles city parks.

The Independent Shakespeare Company encourages prospective audience members to email them to answer any specific questions regarding either play.
