HOLLYWOOD—Last week’s episode of Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots” ended with Hanna coming face-to-face with Benny by Veronica Harrington’s side in the hospital. As a result, this week’s episode, ‘Undercover Vice,’ saw Hanna wanting answers and rightfully so. Hanna warned her son to be careful of the ‘snake’ who is ready to strike at any moment. Hanna please preach because Benny is not aware of how dangerous Veronica Harrington can be when she wants something.

Ugh, no wonder Hanna was so heartbroken by that letter; that was devastating and delivered a bit of guilt to both Candace and Hanna. Hanna was on a mission to convince Candace to change her life for the better. Candace was back using her charm and looks to draw men to her inner orbit. Looks like Candace’s latest target may not be who he appears to be.

There is plenty of drama taking place inside this hotel because who would have expected Landon and Charles to take their friendship to new heights after having a few drinks. Last week it looked like Landon ‘might’ be hitting on Charles, but this week the audience got 100 percent confirmation Landon was hitting on his boss. However, I was dumbfounded by the fact that Charles had no idea that Landon is gay.

Back at the police station, Jeffrey found himself being interrogated by George. Jeffrey might be naïve, but he is smart; never speak without lawyer. However, Jeffrey’s psyche was peaked when he learned that Veronica and Melissa were involved in a car accident. David’s dinner date with Erica was interrupted by Justin who stopped by to inform him that Jeffrey is in jail. Jeez, Erica is one hell of an actress, the tale that she weaved about her ex being a cop and David believing it was laughable.

Wyatt made a call to Jeffrey, but was surprised to hear Justin answer his cell. Justin made it clear that Wyatt should stay away from Jeffrey and threats were made. Like I said, a fatal attraction is in the works involving Officer Justin, and Wyatt could face the brunt of that rage. Kathryn had a visit from Derek, where she inquired rather a love connection could be in the works. Derek updated Kathryn that Veronica is up to her antics yet again, and when her former BFF learned she was in a car accident, she did not jump to make a call. I’m utterly stunned that Melissa left that car as if nothing happened, and she seems out for blood, especially against Veronica.

Candace had a conversation with Rocky, and learned that other ‘women’ are now working at the restaurant. Things are getting interesting, as Melissa decided to confront Veronica who was not in the best shape. Veronica made threats, but Melissa was ready to go toe-to-toe with the Ice Queen herself. Melissa is indeed bonkers people, and Veronica might have unleashed a tyrant who cannot be controlled. However, it looks like Veronica is going to utilize her power to have Melissa committed.

Jim delivered a call to a former flame courtesy of Oscar, just as fireworks erupted between the Young clan, as Hanna and Candace went to war once again, with Benny as referee. Those words from Quincy Jr. struck Candace just as hard as it did Hanna. Candace continued to push Hanna’s buttons, but Hanna fired back with wanting her mother dead. Benny attempted to be the voice of reason. Candace continued to point the finger at her mother over her son’s death before her emotions continued to strike her in waves. Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door, as Benny made it clear this latest client needed to exit the room, but not before Hanna dropped a bomb: that guy is her father!

Ok, Tyler Perry just delivered a shocker on me that I never expected. That guy Candace met at the bar is her father. I cannot wait to see how this plays out next week, as more about Hanna’s past comes to light, Wyatt toys with Justin and more fireworks erupt in a season that is full of surprises. Until next ‘Temptation Tuesday,’ “Haves and Have Nots” die-hards!
