IRVINE—The California chapter of Hands & Voices will be hosting a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Family Potluck on July 19 in Irvine, California. The potluck will begin at 12:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. Water bottles and juice will be provided by Hands & Voices for the event.

According to the Hands and Voices website, they are a non-profit organization that is driven by parents to support the “families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. [They] are non-biased about communication methodologies and believe that families can make the best choices for their child if they have access to good information and support.” Hands and Voices communicate both manually and orally.

The DHH Family Potluck will consist of arts and crafts, balloon toss, athletic activities, raffles and a coloring contest. Those attending the potluck are expected to bring a dish that correlates to the first letter of their last name. Those with a last name from A to L are expected to bring a main dish. A last name between M and S are expected to bring a side dish, and those with a last name from T to Z are in charge of desserts.

The event will be located at WilliamR. Mason Regional Park on 18712 University Drive in Irvine, CA. For more information on the event, the flyer for the event can be view here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php fbid=10152369916694900&set=gm.658065674282960&type=1&theater.
