WESTWOOD—The fifth annual Walk for Warriors event is happening on Monday, May 25 during Memorial Day weekend. The event is a 5K walk/run that will take place on the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs campus, near UCLA.
Registration fees are currently $45 for ages 11 and up and $20 for children 10 and under. Participants can run solo or as part of a team. All of the money raised by the event supports New Directions for Veterans, a non-profit organization that provides services including job training and housing for homeless veterans and other service members in need. The event will be hosted by FOX 11’s Christine Devine and features DJs from Amp Radio and JACK FM.
The walk is presented by the West Los Angles Chamber of Commerce and New Directions for Veterans. Register at www.walkforwarriors.org.
