GRIFFITH PARK—On Friday, April 5, at 11:50 a.m. officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department airlifted a woman who suffered a broken leg in Griffith Park to safety.

The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public, but the victim was rescued near the 2700 block of North Vermont Avenue. The exact condition of the woman has not been disclosed. Officials are not sure what transpired that led to the woman injuring her leg while hiking.

The LAFD tweeted “LAFD Air Operations and ground resources are on scene with Park Rangers assisting in locating and evaluating a 30 y/o female.”
