HOLLYWOOD—Los Angeles visual effects producer, Eric Kohler, known for working on such films as, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” ” X-Men” and “The Hangover III” has been reportedly missing since Thanksgiving. According to reports, his family allegedly rushed to Los Angeles as soon as they heard that he hasn’t been seen since last week.

According to reports, he was last seen leaving his workplace on Tuesday, November 24, at 3:30 p.m. on the block of El Segundo Boulevard in Gardena. According to a co-worker, as reported by NBC News, Kohler even missed a meeting for an upcoming project where he did not have his laptop or his bag.

The vehicle that Kohler was last seen in is described as a black Range Rover Evoque, which bears no license plate but displays a “Hornburg” car dealership plate covering it. The vehicle was last seen at Food 4 Less parking lot at S. Western Avenue and Imperial Highway in Westmont.

“I know my son would never do this,” Kohler’s mother told NBC News. According to reports, Kohler’s family has stated that Eric is a workaholic, but a responsible man would never just disappear.

“And he literally disappeared,” said Tony Kohler about his son’s disappearance. “It’s heartbreaking. It’s damn heartbreaking.”

Kohler was last seen wearing a light-blue short-sleeve shirt, blue skinny jeans, brown suede shoes and a brown leather, chrome-plated watch. He is described as a 27-year-old, Caucasian, with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet and 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 165 lbs.

The LAPD Missing Person’s Unit is now on the case and has informed Canyon News that at the moment, no new information regarding Kohler’s wearabouts are available at this time. Detectives urge anyone who can provide any tips to contact 925-380-7512. After hours tips can be directed to LAPD’s RACR Division at 213-484-6700.
