HOLLYWOOD—With his team’s future wracked by vandals, Ray agreed to participate in a student-alumni baseball game, but an unexpected warm-up session with Claire (Kathryn Hahn) threatened to put him on the disabled list. The life of a male prostitute is not an easy one. Ray is constantly putting himself in jeopardy physically and legally in order to salvage the future for his players and students. However, seeing Jessica root for Ray and bring along their two unattractive geeky kids was also a lot of fun.

Some of the sex scenes surely make me blush, but isn’t that what the writers are hoping for? Ray’s determination to please his clients and to make his school’s athletic team successful sure gives him a lot of material to handle. Not to mention, the actor Thomas Jane seems perfectly suited for the great material he receives as an actor on this series.

Fed up with Tanya’s greed and confused by Mike’s request for a donation, Frances (Roxanne Hart) doubted their affair. Mike is oblivious to what Frances really wants and is ultimately closing in on Ray’s secret life as a gigolo. Jessica’s old itch resurfaced, prompting Ronnie to deliver a sideline ultimatum to her ex. Anne Heche, who portrays Jessica seems smitten yet again with her ex-husband, whom she was quick to dump early on in the show’s history. This episode was written by Julia Brownell and Eileen Myers. “Hung” is directed by Bronwen Hughes.

“Hung” airs on HBO at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday nights.
