TOPANGA CANYON—The Los Angeles Police Department and the Topanga Area Theft Detectives is in need of the public’s help to locate a suspect who has been stealing packages in the San Fernando Valley region.

On August 21, at around 12 p.m. the driver of a white Acura with the license plate 5***721 drove into the driveway of a home on the 7600 block of Gazette Avenue in Canoga Park. The passenger exited the vehicle, walked onto the porch, took a package and left the scene in an unknown direction.

Police have described the passenger as a White male, who is 25-30 years-old. He was wearing a black baseball cap with “LA” on the front, a black t-shirt with a white design of a tattoo machine and a skull, black pants and shoes. The individual also had multiple black and gray tattoos on each arm. Authorities do not have a description of the driver of the vehicle.

The detective’s investigation revealed that the suspects are following major delivery service trucks. They wait until the package is delivered and once the driver leaves the package the suspects approach the residence and take the packages.
