WEST HOLLYWOOD—Famed stage star and cabaret singer Amanda Abel tells Canyon News, “I am very excited about my upcoming show this month at the Gardenia. I have an incredible ensemble of players in this show.”

“I Know I Came In Here For Something” is hilarious and witty. It’s called a middle-aged musical, but fans of all ages will get a kick out of the production. Fans of Abel’s knows she’s never anything short of perfection in all of her stage performances and this one is no exception.

This is the West Coast premiere of a new musical, with lyrics by Carl Ritchie and music by Wayne Moore. Starring Amanda Abel, Brenda Moore, Michael Taylor Gray and Wayne Moore. “I Know”¦” opened last summer in upstate New York for two weekends and played to full houses for eleven weeks.

A new production of the show is being mounted this year in Las Vegas. This will be the first time L.A. audiences have had a chance to hear this hysterical, whimsical score outside of Wayne’s living room. You will be able to identify with something in this show.

The show runs on Friday and Saturday, May 28 and 29, at 9 p.m. with a $20 cover charge and two-drink minimum. Food is also available. The Gardenia is located at 7066 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood (just East of La Brea.) For reservations please call 323-467-7444.
