STUDIO CITY—Actor Jack Osbourne, 33 was assaulted by a random individual near the Bluestone Lane coffeeshop on Wednesday, April 3 at 9:09 a.m. Osbourne was sitting with an unidentified woman at the coffeeshop patio when he was “sucker punched” by a man in the face, TMZ first reported.

Bluestone Lane Employees called police immediately, reporting the assailant as a homeless man hitting two customers before fleeing.

The unidentified man was arrested, and charged with battery assault,  and assaulting a police officer. The Los Angeles Police Department indicated the suspect attempted to attack them with a screwdriver while resisting arrest.

No serious injuries were reported to either victims, nor did they provoke the assailant into the attack.

Authorities arrived on the scene on the 1200 block of Ventura Boulevard to conduct their investigation and located the suspect two blocks away. The name of the suspect has not been disclosed to the public.

Osbourne is the son of heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon, host of CBS daytime show “The Talk.” He appeared in films like including: “Austin Powers: Goldmember” “Bed Stuy: Do or Die” and “Wreckage of My Past: The Story of Ozzy Osbourne.”
