SHERMAN OAKS—The family of James Kim, 84, who was reported missing by his family on Friday, December 14, has been located. James was last seen around 12:20 p.m., leaving Sherman Oaks Hospital in the 4900 block of Van Nuys Boulevard. He is a resident of Sylmar, and went missing without his cellphone or wallet.
He was wearing a hospital bracelet with his information when he left the hospital. Kim suffers from Alzheimer’s. James who is of Korean descent was wearing only hospital issued beige socks without shoes when he was reported missing.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit indicated on December 14, at around 11 p.m., Kim was found in the Devonshire area by patrol officers and was reunited with his family in good health.
