HOLLYWOOD HILLS—Actress Jennifer Garner, 46, known for starring in the hit ABC series “Alias” and the film “13 Going On 30,”  received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, August 20.

Garner, her friends, family and fans gathered on the strip of enamel stars for an hour-long ceremony. The actresses’ reveal, held more than two weeks before the release of Garner’s next film “Peppermint,” included speeches from the Hollywood Walk of Fame CEO Leron Gubler, actors Steve Carell and Bryan Cranston, actress and director Judy Greer and from the honoree herself.

Before fully revealing the 2,641st star on the strip, actors and friends of Garner recounted stories of working with the actress. Greer, Garner’s “13 Going on 30” co-star, reminisced on practicing the film’s pivotal “Thriller” dance number and shared instances of Garner’s acts of thoughtfulness.

Cranston recalled getting close with Garner as they prepared for intimate scenes as Howard and Diana Wakefield in the 2016 film “Wakefield.” Later in the ceremony, Carell shared anecdotes of working with Garner on “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.”  He told stories of running into the actress at various alumni events at their shared alma mater, Denison University.

Taking the Hollywood Walk of Fame podium, Garner delivered a speech thanking her family , friends and co-workers.

“I’ve walked over so many stars int he past,” said Garner. “[Getting a star] makes me think about what people will think when they walk over my star.”
