BEL AIR—Singer Joni Mitchell, 71, is said to be conscious and on her way to regaining her health. Her representatives have contradicted the rumor that she was in a coma, by posting an updated to the singer’s website on April 28.
On March 31, she was said to have collapsed at her Bel Air home and was taken to the hospital. Numerous media outlets reported that she was in a coma. Her close friend, Leslie Morris, will be assisting the singer with decisions regarding care once she leaves the hospital.
Originally from Canada, Mitchell is a folk singer with popular songs such as “Both Sides, Now,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” and “Help Me,” and is also known as a songwriter and painter.
