HOLLYWOOD—The Fourth of July is just around the corner. Fireworks, barbeques, picnics and parades will be everywhere in the country. It’s the celebration of the day America declared our independence back in 1776. The dream of the country being free and people being equal burned brightly in the hearts of our forefathers back in 1776. The love of freedom is expressed everyday by Americans who love this country and the principals it stands for. This freedom is what we hold close to our hearts. It’s the true meaning of the Fourth of July for Americans.

Celebrities are some of the most influential trend setters in the world of style, fashion, movies and everything else in between, so it’s no surprise that we want to know what they are doing on the Fourth. Some are working: Smokey Robinson, the King of Motown, will perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on July 3 and 4. Last year it was actor Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers, and Edie Brickell who performed for thousands of fans.

At the Rose Bowl Stadium on the Fourth, thousands will celebrate with a spectacular fireworks display, billed as the largest fireworks show in Los Angeles, along with musical performances by the Grammy nominated Liverpool Legends and others, and motorcycle stunts.

The Coliseum Fireworks extravaganza will take place in Exposition Park, where you can enjoy several museums, such as the Natural History Museum, and a beautiful and vast rose garden. So bring a picnic basket if you want to party on the lawn and listen to live DJ music and stage performances from California African American Museum.

A fireworks extravaganza will also be held at the Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills, for a great day filled with music, entertainment and arts and crafts vendors. Later, starting at 9 p.m., there will be a 20-minute fireworks display.

The 17th Annual 4th of July Fireworks festival will take place at the CBS Studio City Center. CBS will be putting on their annual Fourth of July spectacular festival featuring fireworks, music from a Beatles tribute band, as well as an incredible car show from the Television and Motion Picture Car Club. Magicians will also be on hand from the Magic Castle. Tickets for adults are $20 and $10 for children.

If you are on the East Coast, Macy’s 39th Annual 4th of July Fireworks will take place on the East River by the Brooklyn Bridge. The spectacular fireworks will illuminate the skies over the East River for the second year in a row. If you’re not up for fighting for a great spot, you can always watch Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks live on NBC. This year’s telecast will be hosted by Today’s Willie Geist and Tamron Hall, and feature live performances by Gloria Estefan, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Flo Rida, Meghan Trainor and Kelly Clarkson.

Rose’s Scoop: Kelly Clarkson, whose weight has been scrutinized for years, has been married to Reba McEntire’s stepson Brandon Blackstock. Kelly is managed by Reba’s hubby Narvel Blackstock.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July Weekend!
