BRENTWOOD—On October 29, at approximately 12:35 p.m., detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), Major Crimes Bureau (MCB), Burglary-Robbery Task Force (BRTF), apprehended four suspects responsible for a residential burglary in the Brentwood Los Angeles region. According to a press release from the LASD, the suspects were spotted in a maroon Kia Optima sedan driving slowly in neighborhoods in West Los Angeles and Brentwood regions.

One of the culprits parked the Kia on the 500 block of Hanley Avenue, in front of a residence. Detectives saw three suspects run out of the yard and enter the vehicle. The Kia sped away from the neighborhood toward Sunset Boulevard. Detectives later revealed that the three suspects burglarized the home.

Units from the Los Angeles Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop, and the suspect’s car stopped facing patrol vehicles. The suspect drove the Kia into a LAPD vehicle. All four suspects were detained by authorities. Stolen property and cash was recuperated from the culprits and their car was confirmed to be stolen from the home the suspects were scooping.

Taken into custody was Jawon Buford, 19, of Carson, who is a documented South Los Angeles criminal street gang member. Also arrested was Arron Molina, 22, of Los Angeles, also a documented South Los Angeles criminal street gang member. Other suspects taken into custody included Kenneth Osteen, 25, of Compton and Kristopher Pollard, 22, of Los Angeles.
