LOS ANGELES—Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Division captured video footage of a male murder suspect armed with a knife, and is requesting assistance from the public in locating the individual.

Officers responded to the 700 block of West Lake Avenue after being informed of assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, they located an unidentified male victim who was suffering from stab wounds. He and the armed suspect reportedly got into an argument inside an apartment building, after which the suspect stabbed him several times with a knife. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported the victim to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

In the video, the suspect is seen running out of the apartment building with a knife in his hand. He has not been formally identified. Police officials have described the suspect as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet and 7 inches tall, with short brown hair and a heavy build. He was wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.
