LOS ANGELES—Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Division are seeking the public’s help to locate a burglary suspect that has struck multiple times throughout the region. According to the LAPD Blog, on October 27, a suspect pulled a window screen off the window of a home in the 600 block of Oliver Street. The suspect later entered the home, ransacked it, before stealing jewelry.

On October 30 and November 22, the suspect targeted two homes in the 600 block of O’Farrell Street. The suspect removed a window screen from the residences, entered the home, ransacked it, and stole jewelry. On November 22, during the day time, the suspect pulled a window screen off a window of a home in the 500 block of Bonita Street. The suspect entered the home, destroying property before stealing jewelry.

On November 25, the suspect crawled through an unsecured doggy-door to enter a residence in the 600 block of Santa Cruz Street. He ransacked the residence and stole a laptop computer, a man’s watch, and several wallets. On December 1, the suspect pulled a window screen off a window in the 300 block of Oliver Street. The suspect entered the home, ransacked it, and stole jewelry and money.

On Tuesday, December 5, the suspect pulled a window screen off a window in the 300 block of Oliver Street. The suspect entered the home, damaged property and once again stole jewelry and cash from the home. All of the burglaries transpired within a short span of time, in close proximity to each other, and the suspect’s method of operation was similar. Video surveillance of the suspect was obtained and is being released to alert the public of the ongoing burglaries that are occurring in the San Pedro area.

The suspect is described as an African-American male between the ages of 18 to 25. He stands 5 feet and 8 inches to 5 feet and 10 inches tall, and weighs around 140 pounds.
