WASHINGTON D.C.—With a week of diplomatic disasters caused by the group that calls itself WikiLeaks, it almost makes one long for the days of King Henry VIII of England and the response he’d have to such blatant treasonous actions. What seemed initially an illegal interference with U.S. and other nations’ cable communications is now a full out act of treason against not only the United States of America, but possibly other nations as well.

From the first day after a major American holiday weekend, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has spent an unbelievable amount of hours calling dignitaries of other nations that are not only our allies but also nations we do not often have favored nation status with. Nations such as China, Iran and even Saudi Arabia were thrown into the fray after a British newspaper, The Guardian, and the New York Times printed stories that seem almost unthinkable to many readers who are unaware of how backdoor diplomacy often works.

Leaked this week were documents which alleged that Saudi Arabia, an Islamic neighbor of the Islamic Republic of Iran wanted the U.S. to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities in order to keep the nation from developing nuclear weapons, which all the neighbors on the Arabian peninsula fear will create an unequal balance of power in favor of the former Persian empire. Also among the documents dumped on the public included the former Bush Administration’s feelings that the Chancellor of Germany, Andrea Merkel, was allegedly discussed as a weak link in the war on terror and that she was incapable of being creative in convincing the German public why war in Iraq was necessary.
The leaks are too vast to list them all; however, every nation from the United Kingdom, Brazil and even the troubled North Korea were discussed and information and conversations between world leaders and diplomats, who considered their discussions private and confidential, are out there for terrorists and radical Islam to attempt to use against the Western allies. Perhaps most chilling was the Obama Administration’s now not-so-secret discussions that possibly involve the world’s greatest threat, nuclear weapons falling into the hands of Islamic extremists who would like to obtain control of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal, and not only use them against their neighbor India, but the U.S. as well.

Last week, Thomas Sowell in what he considers to be his mission to speak out against the Obama administration and liberals as a whole, all the while tucked away safely and comfortably in the most liberal region in the western hemisphere, the San Francisco Bay area, called this administration “drunk on power” when writing about the latest complaints by air passengers who feel the latest TSA screenings are too invasive. Perhaps Mr. Sowell is enjoying the fruits of the wealth he’s obtained while bashing every Democratic administration since the Carter Administration. Maybe selling books and syndicating columns is much more important to him than our aviation safety, which he had no problem defending under the Bush Administration.

Hopefully Americans will stop the bloodletting and bickering over political power and realize our true enemies benefit while we fight amongst each other and pretend that our real enemies are within our government and not outside the nation plotting our demise and destruction. Whenever the U.S. and U.K. find the entire legion of culprits within the military and diplomatic apparatus that leaked these very private documents to WikiLeaks and ultimately to the media, will use the full extent of both nations’ governmental powers to prosecute these treasonous acts and even perhaps the ultimate punishment is suitable for such an unthinkable crime.

Please pray for our soldiers and all coalition troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, who are in direct danger due to the confidential documents being leaked and disseminated throughout the media this week.
