HOLLYWOOD—This week our gold standard goes to Susan Flannery who portrays Queen Stephanie Forrester on CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Susan’s skills as an actress and leading lady are legendary. Her brand of acting is considered a force of nature. Last week Hurricane Stephanie slapped her daughter-in-law Brooke twice on Monday, and by the end of the week Liam was running for his life as Stephanie told him, “I’ll kill you!” Susan Flannery is one of the nicest people that I know in this business, but she knows how to play a mean witch! Stephanie is determined to protect Hope from her mother Brooke and Ms. Flannery is determined to show “B&B” viewers what the best actress in the business can do on a daily basis.
All of it started in June during Hope’s graduation party. Daddy Yankee performed at the Forrester mansion in Bel Air to help Hope and her teenage friends celebrate their liberation from Beverly Hills High School. During that fateful night, Hope’s mother Brooke, known to Stephanie and “B&B” viewers as the whore of Beverly Hills slept with her daughter’s boyfriend Oliver. Months later Brooke’s adulterous secret was revealed at a press conference at Forrester Creations. It seems to Brooke and many others that Ridge’s daughter Steffy, her grandmother’s namesake was behind the revelation. However, it was Justin who tampered with Steffy’s laptop who actually leaked the details of Brooke’s night of passion to a room filled with media.
Stephanie finally figured out that it is Bill Spencer, Justin’s employer who had the most to gain by leaking the details and she went on a trail like a bloodhound searching for an escaped inmate. On Monday Brooke showed up at Stephanie’s mansion to see her daughter Hope. Stephanie gave Brooke a slap for sleeping with her daughter Bridget’s husband Deacon, then gave her another slap on the other side of the face for sleeping with her daughter Hope’s boyfriend, then quickly slammed the door in Brooke’s face.
However, the most shocking and yet exciting scenes came when Liam, who knows what Justin did to expose Brooke’s secret and to frame Stephanie’s granddaughter Steffy as the culprit cornered and then confronted Liam about his part in the deception. Stephanie is one scary woman, especially for a guilt-ridden young man who is an intern at Spencer Publications. Fans get ready, on Monday, Ridge reacts by throwing a punch when he learns of Liam’s guilt in the video debacle. Then Oliver gets advice from Stephanie after hearing Hope’s answer to his question.
