UNITED STATES—Its amazing what a few seasons with another team does for a basketball player? After will he or won’t he, NBA superstar LeBron James is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Yep, the team that he dismissed to head to the Miami Heat will have King James back on the court.

This will indeed be an interesting dynamic considering fans were outraged when James departed several years ago. He endured major backlash in the social media arena, not to mention fans burning James’ jersey. Rumors were circulating that James could be heading West to the Los Angeles Lakers, but those theories seemed a bit far-fetched.  It would have been interesting to see James work alongside another titan in Kobe Bryant.

Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert tweeted the following on July 11, “Welcome Home @kingjames. I am excited for the fans and people of Cleveland and Ohio. No fans and people deserve a winner more than them…..”

James won 2 NBA Championships with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013, before being dethroned by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2014 finals 4 games to 1.
