BEVERLY HILLS—The holiday party season is officially here, which means most of us are probably stressing about how to look our best. In the next few weeks, we will be attending festive Christmas parties and company parties. So what do we wear? Glamour is backthe ’20s roar again. The elegant, silver screen goddess look is back. You can find it in dresses from Michael Kors, Versace and Dior. Anything that shines and shimmers is back, think “The Great Gatsby” look. Red and Black is always in, but if you’re in the holiday spirit, try red.

Lace is back too. A-list celebrities Michele Williams, Julianne Moore, Kate Bosworth, Emma Watson, Kirsten Dunst, Dita von Teese and Nicole Kidman have been spotted wearing Dolce & Gabbana, Rafael Lopez, Erdem and Valentino. These ladies like to bring some soft romantic looks to their holiday wardrobe.

I’m not one to brag, but as an entertainment journalist, I do get invited to several parties. So in my endeavors, I do get to observe the haute couture and know Manolos, Jimmy Choos when I see them. Needless to say, I don’t mention to my friends or acquaintances every time I’m invited to a party. The reason for my madness is that I don’t want them to realize how dull their lives really are. So while clothes and shoes are staking a claim to the season”˜s mega hitslace, velvet, red, black and white dressesyou certainly can”˜t forget jewelry.

Attention millionaires: the stunning exhibition devoted to Bulgari jewelry began December 10, and will run until January 12, in Paris. The Grand Palais’s The Nave arts space will be dripping in jewels featuring more than 600 pieces. Many pieces displayed include jewelry worn by screen sirens from the 1950s and ’60s, including the infamous emerald and diamond necklace that was a wedding gift from Richard Burton to Elizabeth Taylor.

If you missed the display of magnificent jewels at Sotheby’s on December 9, you missed the over-the-top yellow, 54.2 carat diamond ring. The decadent display of jewels included a rare, light pink 10.46 carat diamond ring and a pearl and diamond ear clips. The jewels were worth more than $40 million.

Looking like a million dollars was Angelina Jolie who was strolling down the red carpet with main squeeze Brad Pitt on December 6, at the Ziegfeld Theatre on 54th Street for the world premiere of Jolie’s new film, “The Tourist.” Whether you like her or not, Angelina Jolie is beautiful and she looked striking in her angora white Versace dress and dangling earrings. Her skin was flawless with a matte finish. Her eye makeup was smoky and she was wearing nude lipstick. Amazingly, she stayed away from red, sultry, scarlet lips.

Rose’s Scoop: According to my source, Dr. Oz is being sued by his neighbor. It seems that Dr. Oz, who owns a beautiful home in Cliffside Park, N.J., decided to build a pool in his backyard. In order to maintain his privacy, he put up huge trees in his yard; thus, leaving his neighbor no view of the New York skyline.
