MALIBU—One motorist was arrested and charged with DUI and a passenger was cited for having an open container during an overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Malibu on April 17.

The checkpoint was located at Pacific Coast Highway and Webb Way. It started at 7:00 p.m. and culminated at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Ten unlicensed drivers were arrested at the checkpoint and sent to court.

According to reports, three motorists were also arrested and sent to court for driving with suspended licenses. Three vehicles were impounded for 30 days and one vehicle was stored for a single day.

A total of 1,364 vehicles passed through the overnight checkpoint.
