BEVERLY HILLS—Individuals looking to test their endurance in the annual Los Angeles marathon are advised to start training as soon as possible. Spanning from Dodgers Stadium all the way to Santa Monica, the 33rd edition of the race will take place on Sunday, March 18, from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The 26 mile marathon, nicknamed “Stadium to the Sea,” is sponsored by Sketchers Performance. It will spend its last 5 miles trudging through Beverly Hills City Hall, Rodeo Drive, Route 66, and Palisades Park before ending at the Santa Monica Pier.

The Beverly Hills portion of the race will begin at Doheny Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard, continue west on Burton Way to Rodeo Drive, south to Wilshire, and end west towards Santa Monica Boulevard. Water stations will be available at the intersection of Burton Way and Foothill Road, as well as S. Santa Monica, about a block past Wilshire Boulevard.

Experienced runners have reported that, while it is a net downhill run, the difficulty of the course is still quite extreme. Over 25,000 runners are expected to partake in this year’s event.
