MALIBU—Deputies from the Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station have invited residents of the beach community to visit their station as part of an upcoming open house. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, the Sheriff’s Department is welcoming individuals to meet deputies and learn the practices which keep Malibu and the surrounding areas safe.

Families are encouraged to participate and will learn more about the measures deputies take to ensure the safety of residents through “interesting displays and interactive activities.” According to a flyer promoting the event, the displays and interactive activities will give attendees opportunities to interact with the following Sheriff’s Department units including: Sheriff K-9, SWAT Team, Helicopter, Bomb Squad, Mounted Enforcement Detail, and Search & Rescue Team.

In addition to meeting law enforcement members, attendees have the chance to visit a recruitment tent open for all LASD applicants. Activities for kids, as well as free food and drinks will be provided to all in attendance.

“This is a great opportunity to thank your local law enforcement professionals for all they do to keep Malibu and the surrounding areas safe” states the city of Malibu on their website.
