MALIBU—On Thursday, December 10, the city of Malibu will be hosting its annual Holiday Open House at Malibu City Hall located on 23825 Stuart Ranch Road.

The free event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is set to feature live classical and jazz performances by Malibu High School and middle school students. There will also be a student art exhibition in collaboration with Malibu High School (MHS) Arts Angels.

According to the Malibu High School website, the MHS Art Angels consists of teachers and parents who assist in art related fields, such as theater programs, orchestra music, choral music, fine arts, photography, film, and ceramics.

The city of Malibu encourages community members to bring a new unwrapped gift for the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Spark of Love Toy Drive, which benefits at-risk youth. Participants who bring an unwrapped toy will receive a ticket for the drawing for locally-donated prizes.

Hot cocoa, cider, and holiday treats will be served during the event.

Canyon News reached out to City of Malibu’s Media Information Officer Matt Myerhoff, who mentioned that 200 people are expected to attend the event.
