MALIBU—Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments and other agencies are developing the Regional Bicycle Master Plan, to promote biking as a safe and attractive form of transportation throughout the region.

The plan is supported by the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), which provided a Sustainability Planning Grant. The Regional Bicycle Master Plan will promote the engagement of residents and visitors of the LVMCOG member cities (Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu and Westlake Village) to healthier and more sustainable living through biking.

The goal of the plan is to build healthier and sustainable habits by developing a bikeway network connecting the various cities.

According to a news release from the City of Malibu website, “An online survey is now available to gather public input that will help the LVMCOG create a plan that meets the needs and wishes of its residents and visitors.”
