MALIBU—High waves hospitalized a Malibu swimmer after  he was pushed into rocks on Saturday, July 21. City News Service reported the swimmer was injured at El Pescador State Beach.

The report indicates that paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to the beach at 1:40 p.m. The LA County Fire Department tweeted, “INJURY: 32000 PCH. #Malibu #FS99 Units on scene of an injured person at El Pescador Beach. @LACoFireAirOps Copter enroute to transport patient.”

The injured swimmer required airlift to the hospital, where he arrived at 2:43 p.m. The name of the victim or his condition has not been disclosed to the public.
