HOLLYWOOD HILLS—On Saturday, July 13, a man was killed in a three-vehicle crash that transpired on the 101 freeway. 

According to reports, the crash was reported at 8:30 p.m. near Highland Avenue on the northbound lanes and the northbound lanes were all shut down, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball noted.

The California Highway Patrol tweeted, “SIGALERT IN LOS ANGELES: SB US-101 AT HOLLYWOOD BLVD – #1 AND 2 LANES BLOCKED FOR AN UNKNOWN DURATION DUE TO A COLLISION.”

The victim was struck by Toyota Prius and was seen being thrown into the air. There was a SigAlert announced due to CHP conducting an investigation.

The shutdown of the freeway delayed motorists who were forced to take alternate routes to travel to the San Fernando Valley. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public.
