MALIBU—Matthew Perry is under contract to sell his Malibu home.
The 5,500-square-foot house, resting on 2.5 acres in the Serra Retreat gated community, was most recently listed for $12.5 million.
Per associates of Parters Trust Real Estate Brokerage & Acquisitions, responsible for negotiating both sides of the real estate transaction, the Malibu property was sold for close to its asking price.
The actor’s home was initially listed for $13.5 million late in 2011 before being reduced to its recent asking price in May 2014.
Perry’s former home, named the Pier House, overlooks the Pacific Ocean through glass panels that lead to a pool deck and outdoor recreation area.
Known for his role in the hit TV sitcom “Friends” and his current work on “The Odd Couple.” Perry initially bought the property through a trust in 2005 for $6.55 million.
