LOS ANGELES—Marion “Suge” Knight is still in custody days after Floyd Mayweather’s win against Manny Pacquiao, despite reports that the boxing champion would post Knight’s bail upon a Vegas victory.

Knight’s lawyer, Matthew Fletcher, revealed to the press that the two are friends, and that Mayweather had reached out to him regarding details of Knight’s bail. The ex-chief of Death Row Records is charged with murder and attempted murder after allegedly running over two men in a restaurant parking lot.

The collision resulted in the death of Terry Carter and serious injuries to Sloan Carter. Witnesses say the three men got in an argument on the “Straight Outta Compton” film set. Security footage from the parking lot allegedly reveals an intention behind Knight’s run with his car. He pled not guilty to the charges on Thursday, April 30 and his bail was set at $10 million.

Mayweather has not yet publicly released a statement rather he would be posting the music mogul’s bail.
